The Effort Trap

The piece is a contemporary flamenco work exploring anxiety as a result of the expectations that society places on us as individuals. Investigating the limits of stress, burnout, anxiety, and success, it researches how these forces can impact us a world that moves faster and faster. The lighting design for the piece was devised through analysis of the pulse of the performer in order to project the internal physical state throughout the theatre.
